Did you know that Geneva Airport’s sole runway has recently been renamed due to the movement of the magnetic north? For a hundred years, its lone concrete runway, the longest in Switzerland, was called 05/23. However, in September 2018, it became 04/22 because of its new orientation relative to the North Magnetic Pole. This change happened just overnight, with 20 people working together to change the signs and path markings. That is historical!
