San Juan Airport (SJU) is located in Carolina 14km east of the city of San Juan. Formally known as Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, it is the main airport of Puerto Rico servicing 8.5 million passengers in 2012.

As San Juan airport is only 14km from central San Juan, the airport is easily accessed via the PR26 expressway. Follow the signs to the airport. It will take approximately 14 minutes from San Juan to San Juan Airport by car.

Getting from San Juan Airport into central San Juan will cost you approximately $20 USD in a taxi. Taxi's are clearly marked and drivers are friendly.
